Hey there, it’s just Dale, checking in at the Empire. I totally came here to let you all in on my thoughts, and then I hit a brick wall. Not literally though. But I was just like, “meh. Life is life. I think I’m much to profound and cool to write anything entertaining for you.” And so I just left this post blank, for like at least 3 hours. Then I went and goofed off in front of my camera, while building a snowhill. And that was really lame and exhilerating at the same time. Continue reading
Chroma Keying!

While waiting for a music download for our next video, I doofed around a bit with chroma keying for the first time. I’m actually starting to get excited about it, and I’ll see if I can actually use it in a video soon. There’s still some kinks to work out, like tracking (so that the picture moves with the camera, instead of it being obvious that the picture is separate from the video), but I’m actually surprised that I could even do it this well on my first go.

Bacon Bits!
I can’t believe none of us thought of this before, or if one of us did, never even bothered to bring it up. Because “Bacon Bits” is possibly the coolest name ever for the sketches of a group like ours. From now on, we are calling all of our sketches a “Bacon Bit.” I mean, come on, it doesn’t get more clever than that!
Here we come Bacon!
Also, I thought I’d note that I am currently working on a new logo for the Empire; while the current one is okay, I’m hoping to get something more professional, more scale-able, and most importantly something more acceptable for the Bacon Empire.
